Eva Zanettin is a producer, photographer and video maker born in Marostica, Italy. She is an alumni of “ICP'' the International Center of Photography New York, "Visual Storytelling" Masterclass 2020 and "Visual Journalism and Journalism and Documentary Practice'' Master's Program 2021 (Director’s Fellow, with a scholarship in recognition of her work).
Eva's work explores themes of sexuality, identity and acceptance through a focus on portraiture. She has used her extensive travels across the world to tell stories of people she meets with all their emotional complexity and free from structured narratives that seek to divide or homogenise people. Eva was a finalist of the "Berlin Photo Week (2021)" and won fourth place in the portrait category. She was a participant of the "Canon Students development program" and the prestigious photojournalism workshop, Eddie Adams XXXIV, and “Cima Impulsa” - women's master programme mentorship for Film Directors and Producers - full scholarship awarded from Netflix, as executive producer of the documentary feature film "ALPHA".
Eva has produced and premiered two short films featuring, Isabella, a trans girl as protagonist; "ISABELLA+", which focuses on a difficult episode of gender violence and "Watch your Love" which fictionalises the life of the protagonist. She shot and produced several corporate brand Films for FUJIFILM India, and worked as a video editor in documentary films and corporate storytelling for brands such as AXA, THYSSENKRUPP MATERIALS SERVICES, Degewo, Herbalife, AMANN Group and many more.
She has published her work “Womanhood” in a group book called “edited 21”, a project collaboration between editors of Ostkreuzschule (Berlin) and photographers of ICP (New York), exhibited in 2022 in a group exhibition called “Lebenswelt”, in Ellwangen - Germany and in 2023 through “Axis of Relating”, at the Art Gallery “Matèria” based in Rome, Italy. Eva designed through a merger of two mediums & exhibited project “de.code”, an interactive music exhibition with life size portraits that present the experience of discrimination faced by BPOC women artists, based in Berlin, founded by Musikfonds. Currently working on a long-term multimedia project called “Syncretic Traditions of India”.

WOMANHOOD
Discrimination is the unfair or prejudicial treatment of people based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation.
Beyond definitions, discrimination is visually and experientially complex. None of these images are found.
They have been co-created in collaboration with protagonists to make visible individual stories of empowerment and disempowerment.
Within each singular frame, no element exists by chance. Every element carries a symbolic meaning that serves to decode the experience of the protagonist. The aesthetics of the image exist in this project only to serve the function ofretelling the story of the protagonists.
The goal of the project is to make visible not only the pervasiveness of discrimination faced by women musicians but to bring to the fore the reality that it can hide in plain sight, in objects thatseem benign and in places that are deemed in popular imagination to bebastions of liberalism and the arts.
Each pair of images engages in a dialogue within itself and with the show as a whole. The goal of the exhibition is to create two superimposed image maps - one of the physical and emotional experience of discrimination and the other, of the city of Berlin.
